Wild Men of Dunland

This is the first finished mini of some Dunlanders I'm working on right now.

They are of course from GW's Lord of the Rings range and I believe they were sculpted by the Perry brothers. I decided to paint them not in the dark dirty look from the movies and replaced the weapons and added some shields. I hope to achieve this way a more generic fantasy humans look for them.

More to come soon....

Fantasy Napoleonics

This one is a grenadier company ungor.

The blunderbuss is from a Space Crusade gretchin and the equipment from the Victrix french set.

Fantasy Napoleonics

I added a Regimental Colour for my Beastmen.

Union Flag and Regimental Colour together

I just noticed that there is some nasty flash of the flagpole of the union flag and some anomalies on the regimentals. I'll try to fix this soon.

Saxon Warlord

I made this one after reading Bernard Cornwells Saxon Stories. The mini is a conversion from a Zvezda viking. The scale is 1/72

The obligatory "Coin Scale Comparison Picture "

Thurion the Ravager

And once again a Reaper mini.

Thats Thurion the Ravager. I have no idea about his background. It was an impulsive buy.
This is the P-65 version of him and he was realy cheap as dirt.
I'm not a big fantasy painter so i struggled a little bit with the coat. I hope it doesn't look too bad.

Just a little fun project I started.

The heads are from Warhammer. The redcoat bodies are Victrix. The Rifles officer was a 40k commissar.

Napoleonic Naval Landing Party

To add some variety to my napoleonic british army, I decided to go the naval way. When the Royal Navy had to participate in operations on land, they naturally sent the Marines. These were usually accompanied by seemen. Most people think of cutlass swinging scurvy dogs when they hear of seamen. But I wanted to go in a different direction with these.

I decided to give them a more or less "uniform" appearence. Dressed in their blue jackets, black hats and armed with muskets (seamen were trained as infantry and good marksmen).

The base for the conversion is a Victrix infantryman. I removed the details of his uniform coat with a hobby knive and sculpted the jacket, buttons, blanket roll etc. with green stuff. The top hat is made from plasticard and the top of a stovepipe shako from the Victrix set.

The heads are from differrent plastic sets

The straw hats are from the Perry acw set

Thats the look I wanted

Reaper Samurai

I painted recently this Reaper Samurai. Though they are labeled as "Classical Samurai", they seem to be more fantasy than historical miniatures. The sculpting is great and they paint up easily. They are quite on the big side but still look great next to Perry Samurai. Overall I would say the are a must have for people who are into asian themed games.

Back from Hell

Yay online again! After a virus destroyed my PC AND my Laptop, I finally had time to fix at least the PC.

In the next few days I'll post some stuff that I painted the over last months and some stuff I'm working on right now.

Weird World War 2

Some weeks ago, I bought a starter box of a game called AEWW2 by Darkson Design.
Even though I don't think I'll ever play this game, I couldn't resist this absoloutly stunning miniatures.
The box contains 1 "Buffelo" battlesuit, 1 female mechanic, 1 NCO, 2 airborene soldiers and 1 sniper. The scale of the miniatures is about 25-28mm. All humans are multi-part miniatures, so you have the choise of different head and weapon variants.

Yesterday i finally painted them and finished today the bases.
