Reggie Van Zandt, Space Marine

Another Reaper mini is finished. Reggie is a typical dark future space macho. Vaguely based on the Xbox game Gears of War.

Agatha Fox, Female Spy

I've been exhausted these last few days from painting napoleonics. To get me back to my painting table I had to do something different. Thank Jingo there is Reaper miniatures and their Chronoscope Range.

This gorgeous little mini is called Agatha Fox, Female Spy.
The pose is very clever. Very innocent looking in the front but if you look behind her you realize she's plotting to do some dirty spy business. Clothing wise the mini ist very simple. Coat, boots and handbag. I painted her bag as a Louis Vuitton and hope the coat looks like a Burberry one (Hey, an international woman of mystery has to travel in style). The white boots are an homage to the swinging sixties.
I painted her hair red ... well... because I dig redheads.

Napoleonic Swiss Infantry

Yesterday I got mail from GMB design. I ordered some flags. Now I could finish my Swiss Infantry. The painting and basing was completed last month. Only the flag was missing.

This was a fun unit to paint. In my opinion the french uniforms look much better in red than in blue.
The minis are Perry Miniatures (plus one Victrix officer). I didn't use the minis in greatcoats to give the unit a more uniform look. I think this underlines the professionalism and soldierlike character of the swiss. I also did some headswaps to give them more variety.

If you need some historical flags, check out:

Napoleonic French Guard Grenadiers

I finally finished a big napoleonic unit. I tried to speed paint them a little bit. The dominant colour on them is Blue so I did a wash. This turned out horrible and I tried to do some traditional highlighting. Not the best result but I'm just happy to have finished it.
